There’s something about getting outside that just resets everything. Whether life feels overwhelming, joyful, or just a bit “meh,” a good walk always seems to work its magic. So, I’m setting myself a challenge, inspired by the spring being in the air- one month, as many walks from my checklist as I can tick off.

Here’s where I plan to go:

⭕️ Ancient woodland nearby – There’s something about stepping into a forest that’s been around for centuries. It feels like a portal to another time.

⭕️ A woodland with a stream – The dream walk. Trees, birdsong, and the sound of running water? Absolute bliss.

⭕️ A beach – Wind in my hair, sand underfoot, and the rhythmic crash of waves. Yes, please.

⭕️ Local walk – Whether it’s through the city streets or a countryside track, every walk counts.

⭕️ A waterfall in Wales – A little further afield, but imagine the payoff.

⭕️ A forest, a hill, a quarry, a mountain – Each with its own kind of beauty, waiting to be explored.

⭕️ The Peak District, the North Coast – Bucket-list worthy, and hopefully making the cut this month!

(bonus if you do - ⭕️ A walk in the rain)

So who of you lovely lot is joining me?

"t7znyqn6spdtm0pu8swztgpegrvcpows3btctf0v3fnwbnzo.jpg.jpg?w=1140&v=2"I’ll check back in a month to see how many I managed to tick off. But why go it alone? If you love walking - or just need an excuse to get outside - make your own checklist and let’s do this together!

What’s one place you’d love to walk this month? Drop a pin in a metaphorical or a literal map and let’s go share the adventure.

Walk out the door!
